Sustainability is at the core of REMONDIS New Zealand’s business. By acting the way we do we take over ecological as well as economical and social responsibilities – throughout the whole of our operations. Our wide range of activities helps progress to be made in three important fields:

Climate

We are campaigning for global climate protection. We are, therefore, focusing on innovative forms of energy that can be used as an alternative to fossil fuels. At our company, for example, we are trialling with bio-fuels that are more climate-friendly.

Climate protection affects everyone. We aim to reduce CO₂ emissions and protect living conditions across the world.

Raw materials

By closing more and more material life cycles and increasing recycling and resource recovery, we are also able to reduce consumption of primary materials. This helps to conserve natural resources and is, at the same time, an important step towards guaranteeing supplies of raw materials on a long-term basis.

Globally

REMONDIS has over 500 locations and is active on three continents. Our business not only strengthens local economies – local cultural and social activities are also supported through donations and other benefits.
